Some people do not like warm weather throughout the year. If you are one among them, then you can prefer the areas with a milder climate like Arenal, Central Valley, Atenas and some others. To buy a home surrounded by fog and cool mist for at least part of the day throughout the year, you must buy a home in the highland town of Monteverde. Gold Coast in Costa Rica is the very sunny place with less rainfall throughout the year than any other place in Costa Rica.

The infrastructure of Costa Rica is not in the same condition throughout the country. Some area seems to be more developed than the other areas. Some people prefer secluded, rustic towns that have rough roads, limited hospitals, restaurants and stores.
